Shift Correction Package

This valve body kit deals with these problems: * Runaway high pressure * Erratic pressure rise * Converter lock-up shudder * Inconsistent shift feel * Shift solenoid filter blow-out * Premature unit failure 1. The Superior 4L80-E valve body kit offers the option of regular and heavy duty applications in the same package. 2. A complete pressure regulator valve train is supplied in the 4L80-E kit. 3. Failsafe, runaway high pressure will crack the case. The PR valve train supplied in this Shift Correction Package will stop runaway high pressure before it happens.

#80DDHP- 4L80E SUPER HEAVY DUTY DIRECT DRUM & SPRAG

When researching or shopping around for a 4L80E transmission or parts you will commonly come across the description "high performance 34 element sprag and drum assembly”. Although this is much stronger than a stock spring and roller clutch assembly it does have its drawbacks. This industry accepted upgrade gets in trouble at 750 horsepower/750 foot pounds of torque, especially in drag cars with a transbrake or manual valve body that uses a fixed high line pressure. When the sprag fails the transmission will no longer have second gear. This custom drum assembly is fitted with oversize tool steel inner  and outer sprag races ,an oversize 36 element sprag assembly, and a custom sprag retaining plate and spiral lock ring. Modified inner race distributes lube oil to the sprag assembly more efficiently. This drum uses FACTORY OEM 4L80E INTERMEDIATE CLUTCHES AND STEELS. This drum has been tested behind engines producing over 2000 horsepower/1800 foot pounds torque.

4L80E COMPETITION OVERSIZE CENTER SUPPORT WITH BILLET INTERMEDIATE CLUTCH PISTON

An excellent upgrade for all performance 4L80E build ups. Installs with no other modifications. The intermediate clutch piston cavity in the center support is bored out to accept the new oversize billet aluminum intermediate clutch piston. At 200 PSI. of line pressure, this combination furnishes 3760 lbs. of clamping force in comparison to 3266 lbs. of clamping force with the OEM components. The end result is a vast improvement in intermediate clutch capacity. Lubrication upgrade increases lube oil volume to the intermediate sprag and intermediate clutch pack, improving component durability. The center support is assembled with new clutch piston lip seals, Teflon oil seal rings, and new center support bushing.
